Ordering and Fitting Process

Thank you for your interest in J.B. Hill fine handmade custom western boots.  You may order boots directly from our factory!

How to get started:




OPTION 1 Client completes a fitting packet Measuring and outlining instructions are used with a pair of our standard “fitter boots” which will be shipped once deposit is processed.
OPTION 2 Visiting our factory in El Paso Experienced staff are available for custom fittings in our El Paso factory Monday–Friday.  (weekends and evenings by appointment only)
OPTION 3 Events on the road Experienced staff travel to events and are available for fittings.  Find a list of events on our website under Updates and Events.
OPTION 4 We come to you Experienced staff can travel for fittings at the client expense. This option offers a private fitting and is very cost effective when multiple people are being fitted.  Individual fitting fee charges are waived with this option.

Boots in stock

Limited “in-stock” boot inventory is available in standard sizes for immediate purchase and shipping.  Please feel free to contact customer service for a list of boot styles and sizes available.


Standard delivery

Delivery varies and will be quoted with a more accurate delivery date when your order is placed which starts after the fitting process is completed.  Specialized orders with intricate custom designs or hand carved boots will require additional time.  The customer service department will keep you informed if we encounter any delays in processing your order.

NOTE: due to high demand during the holidays, please be aware that all orders require advanced preparation. In order to guarantee delivery for Christmas, orders must be placed and sized by the first week in October.


DISCLAIMER There is no guarantee on color shading and texture which may differ slightly from the boot depicted on the website. Variations occur in electronic transmitted colors and dye lots vary. Realize that all  leather is harvested from actual animals and our leather is not man-made. This may create variations in color and texture. The imperfections and scaring that occur naturally add uniqueness and beauty to the finished leather products. You can request swatches if you have questions on leather textures and colors.

Our boots are custom fit whether it is a standard or custom design. For this reason, completed boots are non-returnable and non-refundable. If there is a problem with the design or fit, we do our best to make adjustments to satisfy our customers.

PROVIDED BOOTS HAVE NOT BEEN WORN OR DAMAGED – Custom boot designs and styles are non-refundable.  Cancellation fees are as follows:

  • 20% cancellation fee on orders before production begins.
  • 50% cancellation fee on standard styles once production begins.
  • No refund on custom designs once production begins.
